Research focuses on studying a pilot-scale hybrid forward and reverse osmosis system. The system will be evaluated with Porifera and SW30HRLE membranes in order to determine its efficiency in desalination and industrial wastewater reuse. Quality of permeate, amount of energy used, and potential costs will be studied in order to determine the practicality of the hybrid system at the industrial scale.
